The N400 reveals implicit accent-induced prejudice
In this paper, we examine what happens in the electrical activity of the brain when what the speaker says does not match their accent. Results show that these mismatches trigger an N400, a component usually associated with semantic violations, as well as a P3, a component related to the updating of expectations.

The perception of swear words by French learners of English: an experiment involving electrodermal activity
In this study, we measured the electrodermal activity of French native speakers while they listened to control and taboo words in French and English. Results show that strong emotional reactions to swear words were limited to the listener’s first language.
